30th Annual Ontario Masters Sunnybrook Park 8K Cross Country race.

The Lakeshore Runners, a running group from Cobourg, Port Hope, and surrounding area, were well represented at last weekend’s Ontario Masters Provincial Cross Country Running Championships. Andrew Harvey, Brian Waite, and Rod Simpson finished 10th, 11th, and 12th in the same age category, with times of 35:07, 36:02, and 36:15 respectively. Glen Fitchett also finished 5th in his age group (50-55) in a time of 32:54, followed by Brian Brown (8th, 35:57), and Gord Hunter (9th, 36:40). Results:
There were also some impressive results at the Toronto Marathon and Half-marathon today. Of particular note, Terry Crain ran a PB in the half of 1:20:10, finishing 15th overall and third in his age category. Nice work, Terry. And, Jackie Waller also had an excellent race - in her second half-marathon in three weeks – handily beating her time at PEC. In the full marathon, John Doorleyers finished 70th overall in a very quick 3:07:02 (back on the bus for Boston, John).
